When you are in the initial dating stages of the relationship, things seem rosy and you are having fun and things are not really tough; and even if they are tough, your love is blind at this time.  However, as a matchmaker you will realize that when the kitchen gets hot, you need to stay there and not leave just because conflict has set in.  Are you willing to leave the relationship because of a conflict that you just cannot resolve?  You need to continue on as a matchmaker and make a difference in your perspective and start thinking like a successful professional matchmaker.  Success in romantic relationships does not just happen by accident.  You don’t choose whom you love; but you do need to choose to unconditionally love that person in order to find success.

As a matchmaker, you should delve even deeper into trying to find the genuine reason for your unhappiness.  Many times we fool ourselves and don’t actually see what the real issue is and we can ruin a good thing by going down the wrong road.  Be a true matchmaker and try to make a difference in your relationship.  Figure out the real reasons for the tensions and open the lines of communication with your partner so that you can figure out a solution and possible even stay together.  If you are having issues with the relationship, you definitely need to discuss them with your partner before you make a final decision on how you will be proceeding.  Ultimately, the decision is yours since no one can force you to do anything that you do not want to do; however, if your goal is to become a great matchmaker for your life, then you owe it to your partner to allow him or her to have some input regarding your decision whether or not to leave the relationship.
